November 6th, 2008: Lunch and dinner

Hi guys! Sorry this didn’t get up yesterday but I was sitting on the couch watching the first two periods of the Pens game. I only had about an hour left in me before I needed to head to bed and it takes 45 minutes to do a post (for me anyway) so I opted to watch the game instead of blog. But let’s take a look at yesterday!

Lunch

Lunch

I was starving for lunch! It was one of those days where I had no idea what I wanted to eat. I knew I didn’t want pizza leftovers (ew) so I had to think of something. Eventually I decided on tuna which I mixed with a little horseradish, mustard, and a small amount of olive oil mayo. I added some garlic powder, smoked paprika, and celery for crunch. I stuffed 1/2 a WW pita with romaine, spinach, and some of the tuna mixture. On the side was a sliced carrot and a huge apple cut up. Scott had some of my carrot! Sneaky!

After lunch I did some work and cleaned the house. I debated on cleaning it now or waiting till Friday. I realized I wouldn’t have time on Friday and I just wanted to have it done. I have a much better peace of mind when I have a clean house.

All of that actually took me until it was time to start getting ready for MT class. I needed something small to eat before class. I thought about having a Clif bar but I wasn’t that hungry and knew that would be too heavy.

I decided on about 1/3 C of 2% fage with some banana nut Bare Naked granola and some Annie’s cinna-bunnies. It was a really good combo! Normally I don’t care for cereal mixed with yogurt but this worked out really well.

Last night was conditioning night and we did a lot of drills that while not hard, were tiring. One drill, we had to punch the bag (whatever combo he called out) until he told us to do situps, then we had to drop and do situps with the bag. Then back up to punching and so on for a two minute round. Might not sound bad but getting up and down, up and down is tiring. :p

We got home and quickly did Rocky’s evening walk (with a little light jog) so we could be back in time to start taping the Pens game.

Both of us were starving so I heated up the leftover shepherd’s pie I pulled out of the freezer earlier in the week. I didn’t really want it but needed something to eat and I didn’t feel like taking time to make something else. Could this picture be any more blah looking? Jeeze. There’s shepherd’s pie, leftover crab rangoons, and an apple cider fizzie which is an awful color but was really good! I mixed some blood orange Italian soda with some apple cider. I ate most of my serving of pie save for what would amount to several bites at the end, which I gave to Scott. And I had one crab rangoon, only the middle part where all the stuff was!

Scott poured us a glass of white as we watched the game. He even took the pictures too! :cheerful:

I have no idea what is going on with me but again around 9:30 or so I was starting to fall asleep! I made it till about 10:15 which is when we finished the second period and had to call it a night. I crawled in bed and passed right out!
