September 4th, 2008: Lunch and Dinner

Hey guys! It wasn’t long after breakfast that I headed out to the salon to get defuzzed then it was off to WF to pick up some lunch. I had only planned on going in there and getting some lunch and maybe some other small things, like fruit, but ended up coming home with way more because a lot of their meats were on sale. Lunch was yummy though and very filling!

I had a ladle and a half of their shrimp bisque soup plus a huge salad. In the salad was spinach and mixed greens, peas, corn, edamame, some cheddar cheese, and a small spoon of egg salad. Once home I topped it with some sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, the leftover tuna salad and about 1/2 TBSP of ranch dressing. It was so filling I didn’t even finish it all. I had about 1/3 of it left. I was a little irritated about the soup price though. Apparently you pay by container and not weight like you do with salads. Since I only got 1 1/2 ladles of soup it ended up being expensive. Grrr! I didn’t know that until the cashier told me. No more soup for me then because I don’t want a whole container of it.

I was also a little disappointed by my WF yogurt selection. Then didn’t have any small containers of Fage 0%, only 2%. And they didn’t have any Chobani at all. I bought a small container of plain 2% and one with peaches. I’ll see how they are.

I cleaned the house yesterday and got very hot and parched. My throat was all dry and I needed something to scratch it and make it feel better (I know how weird that sounds!). I split a 7up with Scott.

It did the trick! I don’t drink pop all that much, we have it on hand for guests or if we are having an ick day and need something light for the tummy.

I was still stuffed from my lunch so I didn’t need much of a snack before MT.

I had 6 (I already ate one!) Kashi crackers and some water before class. Last night was soooo humid and we were all sweating like crazy in class. Thursday nights is conditioning night at MT, so along with bag work there’s a bunch of situps, pushups, squats and those types of drills. And by bag work, I mean, “Do 20 roundkicks, fast and hard. Go!” “You’ve got 2 minutes, I want 100 punches. Go!” Not freestyle where you do whatever you want on the bag. Last night, even though it was hot, was an awesome workout.

It must be pizza week this week. Everyone in the blogsphere seems to be eating pizza. On our way out last night, even our instructor mentioned how he was going to go home and have pizza and I said, “Me too!” And that’s just what we did!

While waiting for the pizza to cook I had 2oz of red wine. Can you see Rocky laying in his K-bed? :D

I also had 6 Kashi roasted veggie crackers dipped in some WF roasted red pepper hummus. It was my first time having WF brand hummus and it was pretty yummy.

I had two slices of pizza and 4oz of red wine for dinner. The pizza was a WF pizza dough, regular jar sauce, and WF organic moz cheese on top. My side had some chopped pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, and red onion. Scott’s half was the same with the addition of mushrooms (ick!).

While we were watching TV, I had two 4oz glasses of white wine. Which brings my total of the evening to 14oz of wine and that was too much. I was a little cotton mouthy when I woke up during the night. I always have water on my night stand so I was able to drink that. I think I need to break my glasses up with some water in between.

I was in bed by 10:30, woo!
