September 3rd, 2008: Lunch & Supper

Hi guys! After my morning post, I did try and go back to bed for a bit. However, I was thwarted by door-to-door solicitors. Grrrr. Rocky’s barking woke me up and then I couldn’t go back to sleep after that. I showered and then walked around like a zombie for quite a while. Eventually it was time to make lunch.

Tuna!

Tuna!

For some reason I was craving tuna in a major way, so I made us some tuna salad pitas. We split (although I think I ate more!) three peaches and one sliced nectarine. I had to use them as they were about to go bad. No complaints from me; I love having fruit with lunch!

I putzed around the house and did some stuff online and handled some business stuff. Then it was time for me to start making dinner.

Just one chip!

Just one chip!

I had one corn tortilla chip to test the salsa to make sure it was still edible. I wanted to use it in the rice dish I was making. It was fine, or it seemed to be. I’m still standing.

The dish didn’t turn out quite as I was expecting. It was still good just not exactly what I was looking for. It’s pretty though! I left about a 1/4 of my bowl uneaten and had two slices of bread with 1 tsp of butter total. This is a bad bread week for us, we normally don’t eat that much bread!

No stick fighting class tonight; I’m way too pooped from my mixed-up sleep today. Actually, I’m wondering if it’s too early for me to put my jammies on and head to bed to read. :D I have to get up a wee bit earlier tomorrow for my run because I have a morning appointment with my esthetician to get my brows back under control.

The second book in a series that I started arrived today and I’m anxious to finish up my current book so I can get back to the other series. I will be reading A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. The first book was A Game of Thrones. Anyone read those? The first book was awesome although a little slow to get to the action. There are a lot of characters and names to get to know but once you do the book goes faster and smoother.

Question: Is this part of my blog hard to find or seem like it needs to stand out more? I’m wondering since it’s not on the front page if I need to direct attention to it somehow.

See you tomorrow morning!
