September 20th, 2008: Breakfast, lunch, snack

Morning guys! I slept so well last night and could have used more sleep this morning but Rocky wanted to get up, up, up! I managed to convince him to give me till 8am. :p I wasn’t hungry right away when I got up this morning so I started off with just my coffee.

Mmmm

Mmmm

This morning was a little cool (and a bit humid) so the coffee was nice to have while lazily surfing the web. Eventually I got back up to make breakfast. I still wasn’t that hungry but I would need energy for MT, so I had to eat something.

Breakfast

Breakfast

The one thing I didn’t get to do yesterday was make granola, I ran out of time. So this morning I had one slice banana, four scoops of yogurt and 1/4 C of the bare naked chocolate granola. After waking up a bit more and writing posts it was time to get ready for MT. I was looking forward to working out and hoping I wasn’t going to be too taxed since I didn’t work out last week.

Got to MT and found out our instructors still don’t have power where they live. They are also out in the country and have well water, which means along with no power they have no running water. Been there done that, and it is no fun indeed. They were told they were supposed to have power by the end of today. I hope that they do. I’ll find out when I have PT on Monday.

After class, which was awesome, we swung over to the grocery store. Yup, again. They had garbage cans on sale and we forgot to pick one up when we were there last. I also found some nice candle holders and a large pepper mill on clearance. Woo! I also got a nice wicker basket type tray and a big basket to store Rocky’s toys in. The cashier didn’t ring us up for the bigger basket. Double woo!

By the time we got home I was starving! I showered as quickly as possible so I could eat.

Leftovers

Leftovers

Lunch was leftover mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and some cantaloupe and nectarines. I ate all of my serving of mac and cheese, a good bit of the brussel sprouts, and some of the fruit. The nectarine wasn’t as ripe as I thought it was so it was a bit tart but the cantaloupe was yummy! Then I ate a few bites off of Scott’s plate because I was still hungry. :D

After lunch I called a friend to catch up and then after that it was time to get to work on kicking the current game Scott and I are playing. It didn’t take us too long since we were pretty close to the end. The game wasn’t too bad but it was no Gears of War. I started getting a little munchie.

Experiment

Experiment

I had some pizza dough sitting in the fridge since Thursday because that’s when I originally planned on making pizza. It needed used up so I made a quick focaccia knock-off. I spread olive oil over the top and seasoned the dough with garlic powder and Mrs. Dash Italian blend. Topped that with a bit of moz cheese and some deli ham. And baked at 375.

A little red

Scott poured us some red to have with our little snack.

I had three wee pieces. I ate them all except for some pieces of the crust that I saved for Rocky. :D Now I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’m still a bit hungry but I don’t need anything too big or heavy. I’m really craving some fries and may just break down and make some. See you guys tomorrow!
