September 10th, 2008: Morning

Morning guys! Wow it was a cold one today! I could see my breath and I think there was a wee bit of frost on the ground. :O I wasn’t expecting that so soon. I wore my thermal during my entire run this morning and my ears got tingly cold. I need to find a good ear warmer headband thingie to wear. Something that will keep my ears warm and stay in place. I have one but the minute I move my head it goes flying off. Grrr!

Mmmm

Mmmm

I tried to keep my heartrate up during my run today in the hopes that I would burn more calories. My end result still seemed about the same but I do feel like I worked a bit harder which can only be a good thing. I drank my choco Silk and then was out the door for Rocky’s walk. It was still pretty chilly. Naturally after I buy some new lighter shirts to wear I can’t wear them. :p I’ll have to see if I can find some lighter long sleeve shirts to wear.

Since it was chilly again I wanted another bowl of oats for breakfast. Unheard of! I don’t normally want to give up my granola and yogurt for anything else but the oats were calling to me.

Yummy oats!

Yummy oats!

My oats this morning were 1/2 cup of quick oats made with 3/4 cup of vanilla Silk. I scooped a little more than half in my bowl and the rest was left for Scott. In my oats were:

  • 1 mushed up banana
  • 1/4 cup of homemade granola
  • 2 spoonfuls of yogurt
  • 1 spoonful of all natural peanut butter
  • A small pinch of salt

I love adding the banana! It gives the oats sweetness without having to add sugar or honey. Also it provides a serving of fruit which gets the day started off right!

Halloween!

Halloween!

The oats along side of 1 mug of coffee + creamer. I love my new dishes!! They are just so cute! I love that stores are embracing Halloween now and not just putting out crappy ugly looking stuff. This are really nice hefty dishes that were not expensive at all. Along with the dishes I picked up some cloth Halloween napkins. They are black and have a little skeleton stitched in the corner.

Okay guys, I need to go and put a second coat of paint on those bedstands. And then see if I can get Scott to tape off the hallway so I can start getting it painted. See you soon!
