Hi guys! Happy September! Is anyone else feeling like summer just blew on by with only a wink and a wave? I do think I’m ready for fall and chilly air. Big day over here at OHC! Not only is this the starting point of the mission, OHC: Daily Eats, but also the launch of the whole website. I’m a bit nervous but excited at the same time!

My day started off with a cup of coffee + french vanilla creamer and 1 cup of Kashi Heart to Heart cereal. I like this cereal much better dry than with liquid. I started off light because being a holiday, I knew I was going to make breakfast when Scott woke up.

Mmmm coffee!

Mmmm coffee!

I didn’t drink all of the coffee but I did eat all of the cereal. I did some maintenance type stuff for the site launch and visited blogs this morning. I was going to take Rocky for his walk but realized I didn’t pull out any workout clothes! I wasn’t going to try and sneak in the bedroom because I knew I would wake Scott up. So I did some more webstuff instead.

Then it was time to start breakfast! On Sundays and on holidays, I try and keep things traditional. I make us a nice breakfast (although we don’t eat till Scott gets up which is late morning, so breakfast usually turns into lunch) and do a big Sunday type supper. This morning I decided on some omelets for us.

All the fixin's

All the fixin's

Scott’s 3 egg omelet had 1/2 slice of colby jack, two slices of virginia ham, sauteed mushrooms, green peppers and red onion. Then a slice of pepper jack with hot sauce.

Mine was 2 eggs, a slice and a 1/2 of colby jack, a slice of smoked turkey breast and sauteed green peppers and red onion. We needed a side so I quick made some turkey bacon as well.

Turkey bacon!

Turkey bacon!

And then we sat down to eat!

Yum!

Yum!

I had two slices of turkey bacon and about 10oz of vanilla soy milk with my omelet. Also along for the ride are a multi-vitamin, vitamin E, and a Flaxseed pill.

I ended up not eating all of the omelet because it was sitting heavy in my stomach. I had to go get a big glass of water because this meal for some reason made me feel really dehydrated. I was also regretting not putting any fruit out. I try and have fruit in the mornings and with lunch. I’ll have to sneak some in later.

In case you’re wondering what Scott was drinking, he was having some banana nectar juice. It’s a little too tart sweet for me but I think it might be good for baking. I’ll have to play around with it and see what I come up with.

Today’s the last day of the three-day weekend which means I’m doing laundry. Blech, I hate doing laundry. Then I’m going to do a little more organizing around the house.

See you tonight!
